Facial Massage Brush for lymphatic drainage face massage

Lymphatic Drainage Face Massage: A 5-Minute Routine for a De-Puffed Look

Puffy mornings happen to all of us! A gentle facial lymphatic drainage massage is a calming 5-minute ritual for the look of a de-puffed, more sculpted face. Here's the full routine: neck, jawline and cheeks, plus the under-eye and forehead steps.

Before You Start

  • Start with clean skin and clean hands, and make sure your brush is clean too.
  • Apply a few drops of facial oil, a serum or a moisturiser so the brush glides without tugging.
  • Use light, feather-soft pressure. This is a gentle massage, not a deep-tissue one.
  • Repeat each stroke 5–8 times.

Step 1: Open at the Neck

Start at the sides of your neck, just below the ears. Sweep gently downward toward your collarbone. Starting here sets the "flow" for the rest of your routine.

Step 2: Trace the Jawline

Place the brush at the centre of your chin and glide outward along the jawline to just below the ears. Then sweep down the side of the neck again.

Step 3: Lift the Cheeks

Start beside your nose and brush outward across the cheekbones toward the temples. Finish each stroke by sweeping down in front of the ear and along the neck.

Step 4: Under-Eye

The skin here is delicate, so go extra gently. Starting at the inner corner, glide very lightly outward under the eye toward the temple. Use the lightest touch of your routine here (or switch to your ring finger) and keep the brush away from the eye itself.

For the under-eye step, you can also try our Red EMS Eye Massager.

Step 5: Forehead

Start at the centre of your forehead, between the brows, and sweep outward to the temples. Work up the forehead in rows, ending each stroke at the temples.

Step 6: Finish Back at the Neck

End where you started: a few slow downward sweeps from below the ears to the collarbone. Take a deep breath, and you're done!

Tips for the Best Results

  • Morning is ideal for the look of less puffiness, but it also makes a relaxing evening wind-down.
  • Consistency wins: a few minutes most days is better than one long session.
  • Add a cool finish: roll an ice roller outward across your face for a refreshing finish.
  • Prefer a stone tool? The same strokes work with a wooden gua sha.
  • Keep your tools clean: wash your brush with mild soap and let it air-dry.
  • Skip it over irritated, broken or sunburned skin or active breakouts, and keep pressure light everywhere.
